When you come across a word that you are unsure of, you will usually look up the word on a dictionary or ask someone sitting next to you. But, there is a faster way than this. These words or phrases are referred to as Context Clues and Word Part Analysis. They are built into the sentences around the word that you do not understand. To be more precise, the methods are:
Method:

1) Definition or Restatement

2) Examples or Summaries

3) Comparison and Contrast

1) Definition or Restatement is when you can guess the definition of the word. You will be able to make logical guesses about the meaning of many words. Writers usually directly restate the meaning of the word
2) Examples and Summaries is when you can guess the definition of the word from how its used. The writer tries to can show what the word means using examples and illustrations. These words are not synonyms and they are mostly in phrases and words like”including”, “suck as”, etc.
3) Comparison and Contrast is when you can guess the definition of the word from how its used. Usually, the word is compared or used in the opposite conetation. For example, ”
